What I do

Production

  • Ideation and packaging. Pitched concepts one-on-one with the creator. Most video ideas ran through me or a small core team.
  • Shortform end to end. Scripting, editing, and publishing across YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.
  • On-site production. Filming, multi-cam recording, and structured review rounds.
  • Audience analytics. Retention, swipe-through, and outlier research in YouTube Studio.
  • Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • Photoshop
  • Frame.io
  • Notion
  • YouTube Studio

Development

  • BS in Computer Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2019-2022.
  • Premiere automation plugins that auto-cut multicam edits from shoots with 16+ cameras.
  • A YouTube research app that surfaces outlier videos and compares retention and swipe-through across shorts and longform.

Experience

Apr 2021 – Jul 2026

Channel Manager & Shortform Lead, Socksfor1 network

  • Ran shortform across Socks Live, Socksfor3, SockShorts, and SocksIRL, plus TikTok (bestofsocksfor1) and Instagram (socksfor1). Over 1B views on videos I edited.
  • Grew a brand-new channel from 0 to 1M subscribers in its first 5 months. Cleared 100M+ monthly views multiple times, most recently June 2026.
  • Pitched concepts directly with the creator. My best original concept became a 63M-view short.
  • Supported longform with on-site filming, section edits, and structured review rounds in Frame.io on videos reaching 66M views.
  • Delivered official brand-partner content with Universal Pictures for the FNAF 2 theatrical release (37M+ views).
  • Built internal tooling: Premiere plugins that auto-cut 16+ camera multicam footage, and an analytics app for outlier and retention research.

2019 – 2022

BS, Computer Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison

  • Upper-level coursework: Operating Systems, Database Design and Implementation, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics, Building User Interfaces.

About

I started managing YouTube channels in 2021, while I was finishing my computer science degree at UW-Madison. The first channel I ran went from zero to a million subscribers in five months. I spent the next five years turning shortform into a repeatable system for the Socksfor1 network: pitching ideas directly with the creator, writing, editing, filming on-site, and reading analytics to figure out what actually works.

My degree still gets used. When production needed tooling, I built it: Premiere plugins that automate multicam cuts, and a research app for comparing retention across videos. I like problems where content and engineering meet.

I'm based in Charlotte, NC. I'm looking for a content team that wants someone who can own shortform end to end, or a software team that wants an engineer who understands audiences from the inside.

Let's talk.

Hiring for a content team or an engineering team? I'd love to hear about it.
